¿Home?

Home is where, you feel at home
Home is where you go to stress
home is where you go to feel your best
home is a place with open arms
Home can is in a tiny room or on a farm
Home is where you go when you feel out of place
Home is where you can go when you can't whipe the frown from your face
Home is comfort, relaxation, and all things that are good
Home is where. you feel at home

¿¿¿What makes somone hot???

For Men and women there are certain traits, many of them very different that make them "Hot" To the opposite sex. Most people would say to be hot a person needs to have a relativly thin and atheletic body, for both males and females. For males to think a female is hot, this is still true but many other things come into factor. A girl usually must have this good athletic body, with "attractive" breasts being "attractive" relative to who the person is that is looking at them, and a butt that seems to fit this same description, in most cases with both, the bigger the better. Men seem to focus mostly on the body, for their description of "hot" to a male it is possible to be "Hot" and not have an attractive face. Females also like to see athletic bodies thin lots, 6 pack of abs is seen as hot to most.

thought i was going
evidence by the button
issue i was suprised to hear people care about
we dont agree on anything
I can see russia from my house
god hugginhus closer
dont agree with bush doctrine- i dotn know what that is
stop photoshopping bikini
stop sayin i have kankles
milf
stop using harpie shrewed, boner shrinker
sarah palin is even closer
gun position
crystal meth
heart beat away
hilary laughin at "wanting"
lend you mine

many things have to be known to get the jokes that are made during this saturday night live skit. The first simple things one would have to know is who sara palin and hilary clinton are. A person would also need to know who the two presidential canidates for this election are. One joke that would not be obvious to someone who doesnt know the context would be the joke about the two women not agreeing on anything. A person has to know how different these two people are, in personality and policy to understand why this emphasis is funny at all. The enxt big joke in the skit was about forieng policy. It was very funny to hear Palin say "I can see russia from my house." But if one did not know she was from alaska, and had not heard Mrs. Mccain comment on how alaska was the closest state to russia, this joke would not be nearly as funny. Some other jokes that one has to know certain things could be the bikini joke made by palin and the gun holding postion in the pose.

To really know, What women want....

If I were female for a day, i would do nothing extraordinary, or attempt to a lot, but simply live one day as a female and try to figure out the whats, hows, and whys of women's thoughts. Most everything about the process in which women think is a complete shrouded mystery to me. I just dont get it. So i would simply walk around look at thinks, talk to people, do all the things a person would normally do on a day to day basis. write all my thoughts and feelings, and the reasons i had them down. So that i coul try to begin to understand females at all. Would go to class, go the store, hang out with friends and as much normal things i could. Then maybe i could somehow have some minute inkling towards really knowing what women want.

Rhetorical Analysis of Scary Bar Knoxville!

Observations:
Dark
Blacks and Greens
"Creepy" Person in middle
Advertising Costume Party/Contest
Prize Money
Drink specials listed (In brighter happier green)
21 & up free
Address in Red
Sexiest and Group in bold

Inferences:
Place is attempting to appeal to a younger crowd
especially drinking age crowd
attempting to pull people and participation with money
Place is popular to be able to give out money

Rhetorically:
This advertisement for Bar Knoxville's "Wicked" costume party contains many rhetorical arguments. Most of these arguments come from the pathos point of view. The flyer uses dark colors and a man in costume to make a "scary" appeal that many people enjoy ecspecially around Halloween time. Also the prospect of costume competitions with money involved can be seen as fun by many people, and help draw people into the bar. The main arguments here are based on attempting to show the night as "fun'' and "exciting" through all of the things going on such as the Group and Sexiest competitions, as well as cheap alcholic beverages, all of which promise a good time.

Blog De Commercial

Video 1
Observations:
Starts with frying pan, grease bubbling
Egg is simply dropped into grease and begins to cook
Male voice
Few words on screen
Serious and Strait to the point
Leaves no room for "questions"
uses wording "Drug free America"

Inferences:
Audience seems to be anyone
seem to attempt to show no room for exception or anything other than "BAD"
again extremely simple probably so anyone can understand without out a doubt
male voice makes it soun more authoritative and almost factual
Pursues the watcher with "Drug free America" basically stating America is better without drugs and kind of pushing towards a "if you care about America you will stop drugs"

Video 2

Observations:
Person involved, female
Entire commercial based in a kitchen
Very dull and colorless
She beats the egg, and then the kitchen
Personal states correlations to body, family, friends, and money
Use of famous "icon" to get point across
Lots of anger and emotion in woman's voice
Audience is probably more focused on younger America

These Two commercials have the same point they are trying to get across to their viewers but very different ways of doing such. Commercial One the older commercial, seems to be addressed to almost anyone that can understand the message that is being said. It is also very simple just having an egg being dropped into grease. Then a very authoritative and almost factual voice seems to "state" that this is your brain on drugs. Leaves little to know room for questions or much further thought than simply drugs are bad. The second of these two videos is much more complex. It has many factors in it to address the same point. The commercial uses a female, a pop culture icon of the time, to reach younger most likely teenage viewers. Instead of just a simple frying pan the woman is in a dark, very dull and colorless kitchen. She Smashes the egg with the frying pan, to show the same idea as teh first commercial. But then goes on to smash other things in the room to make the message more personal, and compares these other things to friends, family, money, job, and ones own self esteem. This is a much more emotional argument than the first of the two. The second of the two in this age seems much more effective than the first. It gives a personal spin on the topic and has a person relating to the subject.

Inferences about closing ceremonies

Observations:
Military dress
Stands alone
picture taken from below
fireworks raising upwards in background
in front of birdcage
not looking at camera

To infer
Many things can be inferred about China just from looking at this picture. The most noticeable thing is that the man is dressed in a military uniform, which shows China's not unknown military focus. The man standing alone could also be used to infer many things. The idea most seen here could be that China sees itself as a "stand alone" nation, and believes highly of themselves in relation to many other countries. This is also shown in the way the picture has been taken. The camera angle is from below the man. This seems to be to include the fireworks in the background shooting towards the sky, another "metaphor" for greatness, but also to be distinctly below the Soldier. To have the Chinese Soldier above and looked up to as a symbol of power and greatness. Finally it can be noticed the soldier has a solid stare which is not into or even in the direction of the camera. This communicates poise and concentration the Chinese have and want to appear to have to the world, in competition, military, and all other walks of life.

¿What does this pencil mean about me?

Observations:
Pencil
Chewed on
Green
Eraser
Grip
Given to by Friend
BiC- cheap
Mechanical

Inference:
Didn't have a pencil and prefers pencil to pen, because given from friend
Likes to be able to neatly correct mistakes
Possible issues in feeling like a mistake will be made
Chews on pencils or pens probably while working or thinking
Is not bothered by type or expense of many things main focus on function
Could prefer mechanical pencil over regular pencil (possible because of sharpening)
